AWATOA Studio is a media arts and production hub where rangatahi deepen their creative voice, technical skill, and cultural expression through creative technology.
Building on the foundations of Creators, Studio is where ideas are refined and brought to life through digital storytelling, design, animation, and production. It is a space for expression — where rangatahi develop the skills to tell their stories, explore identity, and create with confidence in digital spaces.
Through hands-on learning, real-world projects, and collaboration, Studio strengthens both creative capability and technical competence, supporting rangatahi to produce portfolio-quality work and take the next step toward future opportunities.
We provide access to Matamoe Hub after-school programmes to tauira from Porirua schools. Pick your favourite! There are 4 classes: Game Development Core/Extension, 3D Modeling & Printing, and Robotics. Each programme last 10 weeks and goes in weakly sessions of 90 minutes. Equipment is provided, join and enjoy!
You missed the after-school Tech programme? No problem! Our holiday programme has a Tech week open to whanau and community, ages 8 to 16, run by Matamoe Hub, with full-day Tech workshops (9am-3pm).
